The Parkinson Cemetery is located just west of Eramosa on County Road 124 (several miles east of Guelph, Ontario). The site was once part of the farm owned by Joseph Parkinson (1787 - 1851). Born in Preston, Lancashire, England, Joseph Parkinson was one of the first settlers of Eramosa Township, having arrived in our township in 1824. He donated the land for a "meeting house and burying place" in 1842.
